Patient Center & First Visit Guide
What you can expect on your first visit!
Common Conditions Addressed
Our primary focus is on finding a solution to whatever condition you suffer that is interfering with the ability for you to enjoy life. As a result our process is very straightforward and includes the following steps:
Day #1
Day #2
Treatment plan:
The doctor will take time to review any diagnostic tests (ex. X-ray, MRI, CT scan, blood work), and the examination results from Day #1, and recommend 2-6 visits normally. We re-evaluate every 2-6 visits, until your problem is either resolved, or as good as it is going to get. At that time we will discuss your options moving forward.
Treatment:
Treatment for most spine or extremity injuries consists of manual therapy (which may include specific spinal manipulation), and active therapy (exercise, and self-directed home-based exercises). Depending on the type and severity of the condition, Dr. Farabaugh may also recommend any of the following:
1) Spinal decompression therapy (neck or low back)
2) Rapid Release Therapy (focused on fascia release)
3) Shockwave
4) Laser Therapy
5) Vibration plate therapy
6) Massage therapy
7) Acupuncture
8) Dry needling
9) Electrical Stimulation
10) Roller Table therapy
11) Vitamins
12) Weight loss programs
13) Referral for PRP, stem cells, or other meds/injections.
Our practice features one of the region's most advanced, evidence-based facilities, which significantly reduces the need for external referrals to other medical providers. However, we recognize that we cannot address every medical need, and we maintain an extensive network of trusted area specialists to ensure you receive the most appropriate care when a referral is warranted.
